As Program Manager for the Flood Protection Corridor Program (FPCP), I have had the privilege of working with Shannon Underwood over the past three years in the development and maintenance of an Internet web site used by the clients, stakeholders, and staff of the FPCP. The FPCP is a $60 million grant program that supports flood management projects involving acquisition of property rights in flood plains. The grants are competitive, so project applicants and members of the public have in the past and continue to rely on the web site for information about the program and about specific projects that have been selected for funding. The web site is listed as the source of detailed information in notices mailed to the public and in legal advertisements published in the newspaper.

Shannon Underwood worked for the California Department of Water Resources in Web Development, a branch of the Division of Technology Services. She served as Webmaster for our internet site. During the time I have known her, she has provided valuable support to the FPCP with her extensive knowledge and skill at web page development and maintenance. She was always helpful, cooperative, and cheerful, and did not complain if a need suddenly arose to change web page information with a short deadline.

I have enjoyed working with Shannon, and do not hesitate to recommend her for consideration by anyone who needs web development and/or computer graphics work. I am sure she will continue to provide the high level of service that she has given to the FPCP.
